About Banarasi Vastram

A house devoted to the art of Banaras.

Banarasi Vastram — a venture of JMK Hitech Networks Pvt. Ltd. — was born from a simple belief: that the extraordinary craft of Banaras deserves a home that honours it.

We work hand-in-hand with the master weavers of Varanasi to bring you sarees of uncompromising authenticity — pure silk, genuine zari and motifs passed down through generations. From traditional bridal Kadwa to contemporary designer drapes, every piece is chosen to deliver elegance, quality and enduring value.

The Unbroken Thread

A Craft Older than Memory

The story of Banaras and its looms is the story of India's finest textile tradition — and Banarasi Vastram is proud to be its latest custodian.

Origins

The Looms of Kashi

Banaras emerges as the heart of India's silk brocade weaving, favoured by royalty and revered across the subcontinent.

Legacy

Generations of Mastery

Weaving knowledge passes from father to son through the pit-loom families of Varanasi — a living, breathing craft.

GI Tag

Banarasi, Protected

The Banarasi saree earns its Geographical Indication — a mark of true origin and authenticity we uphold.

Today

Banarasi Vastram

We carry the craft forward — connecting master weavers directly to patrons and boutiques the world over.

The Making

From Silk Thread to Heirloom

Four hands, one loom, endless patience — the journey of a Banarasi saree.

01

Design & Naksha

Motifs are hand-drawn and translated onto the loom's jacquard — the graph that guides every thread.

02

Dyeing the Silk

Pure mulberry silk is dyed in rich, colour-fast jewel tones by seasoned master dyers.

03

The Weaving

Warp meets weft and zari on the pit-loom — a bridal saree can take 15 to 45 days of handwork.

04

Finish & Blessing

Each saree is inspected, finished and lovingly packed before its journey to you.

Message from the Founder

“Every Banarasi saree we make carries the fingerprints of an artisan and the spirit of a city. When you drape one, you wear the heritage of Kashi itself — and that is a promise we weave into every thread.”
